Hiya!!!

How are you all? It's certainly been a while since my last update but I have lots of news!

You may notice I've got a subscription and I'm happily exploring DA in a new light.

Also, I've got summer exams coming up soon.. not so good, but I hope I'll do well.

I've not really had much time recently for photography... so I've been submitted very little. (The pictures I've been submitting are old ones by the way, taken with my old point and shoot camera.)

I have been experimenting with lots of new techniques using my awesome 400D (paintng with light, zoom while shooting, portraiture etc.) and I've also recently acquired photoshop! So I've been experimenting with lots of things on that too

I'm also really interested in digital painting (using photoshop) and so I've been looking at lots of tutorials. Hopefully I'll develop some skill with it... photomanipulation too!

Maybe it's worth saving up some money for a graphics tablet?

In other news... I've been saving money for a new lens.. and I'm struggling with the choices. Any ideas?

I'm looking to do either a) portraiture or b) macrophotography

So I've narrowed down the choices to:

Portraiture:

Canon 70-200mm f-4.0L USM
Canon 70-200mm f-2.8L IS USM
Canon 85mm f-1.8 USM

Macrophotography:

Canon 100mm f-2.8 USM macro
Canon MPE-65mm macro

Yeah.... can't really call that narrowed down! Anyways.. I'd really appreciate advice on which to buy first etc. Obviously, the prices are quite high for some of those and I may have to save up for a long time...........
